The Production Guild is pleased to announce the first of a new series of short courses "FILM PRODUCTION IN PRACTICE". The first course in this series will be delivered at The Production Guild offices, Pinewood Studios and a firm date will be issued as soon as possible.
The course is designed and presented by Production Co-ordinator, FRANCESCA CASTELLANO (Made of Honor, The Other Boleyn Girl, Closer, Notes on A Scandal) and is an essential guide to Progress Reports, Shipping and Work Permits.
An exciting interactive day made up of techniques and practical exercises is aimed at Junior Production Co-Ordinators, Assistant Accountants, Assistant Co-Ordinators and Production Assistants looking to expand and develop their skills.
Francesca will have guest speakers throughout the day including Samantha Perahia from The Office of The British Film Commissioner and Will Goodman of shipping company Air Express.
Full Course Schedule:
9:30 - 11:00 - Outlining the main duties for Assistant Co-ordinators, running through Unit, Contact, Cast and Telephone Lists and looking at the importance of good record keeping and chains of information.
11:15 - 13:00 - Exploring shipping, looking into shipping lists, the relationship with shippers and what to do when things go wrong!
14:00 - 14:30 - Samantha Perahia will analyse how to deal with all aspects of work permits.
14:30 - 15:00 - A practical session on progress reports and how to input data efficiently and correctly.
Venue - The PG Offices, Pinewood Studios.
Price - £120 (+ VAT) for PG Members. £200 (+ VAT) for Non Members.
