  • Assistant Production Accountant Training Scheme

    Looking to move your accounting career in to film and TV?

    The Assistant Production Accountant Training Scheme is for those wanting to work as Assistant Production Accountants on feature films and high-end TV dramas in the UK. We recruit and train twelve people, through a mixture of short course training, production attachments and assessment against the Creative Skillset National Occupational Standards for Production Accounting. The scheme lasts up to ten months and those who are UK residents, and have previous experience of working in accounts or finance, are encouraged to apply.

    Move into production management 

    Our Production Manager course is aimed at those with considerable experience of working in production who are keen to move in to production management. Working closely with top production managers and HoDs, this tailored programme covers the key disciplines of film production and high end TV drama management roles. The course is delivered through short courses, on-line resources and personal coaching from top production managers.

  • High-end TV Production Accounting workshops

    Step up in accounts: high-end TV accounting workshops                   

    Two full day and two half day workshops at Pinewood Studios for: key assistant production accountants wishing to move up to production accountants working in high-end TV drama, those with relevant experience seeking a greater understanding of the production accountant’s responsibilities in high-end TV and people working in TV Production Accounting in other genres (ie Children’s TV, long running series) with the relevant experience, looking to develop a career in high-end TV drama.

    This mentoring scheme is designed to assist career progression for key assistant accountants wishing to move up to production accountants and those with relevant experience seeking a greater understanding of the production accountant’s responsibilities and assistants wishing to move up to first/key assistant. It will run between June and November 2016.

    The Assistant Co-ordinator Training course is designed specifically for juniors or assistants in production who wish to move up into the role of Assistant Co-ordinator. Structured over 6 days of training, the course is a mixture of lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises and visits to suppliers and facilities - all delivered by senior production professionals working in film.

  • Runner Training

    Want to work in film and television?

    Runner Training is designed to give those new to film and television a good understanding of how the industry works. This course will teach aspiring runners about processes, set etiquette and what is expected of them in the workplace. Over two days, there is a series of lectures and interactive Q&A's by respected and established film and television production professionals, who will help focus attendees ambition and expectations, leading to an understanding of achievable career routes in film and television.

    Film and TV runner training for under-represented groups

    Do you have a passion for film but lack the opportunities and confidence to take that first step? This two-day course is designed to help 40 people from under represented groups gain the knowledge and contacts required to undertake an entry level role in film or TV. No previous experience is required but you must be able to work within a team and contribute and support your fellow team members.

    Post Production Co-ordinator Training is a week long course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to make the move to Post Production Co-ordinator.     Move up to 2nd Assistant Director

    This course will either enable you to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to make the move from 3rd Assistant Director to 2nd Assistant Director smoothly or if you are a newly established 2nd AD will further your experiences and confidence. Providing you with an opportunity to not only improve your skills as an Assistant Director, this course will also assess the potential and limits of your position in the shooting process.

    Production Accountant Training is a four week course designed to assist career progression for Key Assistant Accounts wishing
    to move up to Production Accountants and those with relevant experience seeking a greater understanding of the Production Accountant’s responsibilities. This course will enable assistant accountants to consolidate their knowledge and move up with confidence. The course covers the foundations of Production Accounting and will take participants through the implementation of systems, budgets and cash flows, working with inherited budgets, cost reporting, and legal and tax issues.
