“The Production Management course was a great opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals at the top of their game, with a wealth of experience and knowledge”

Katy Engels, Production Manager, Katie Morag (TV Series)

“I attended the Production Manager’s course in the hope that it would fill in some of the gaps of my film making knowledge.  My intention was not to directly look at PM jobs in the future but to understand how the ‘engine room’ of a production is managed and ran before producing my own films.  My particular shortfall was that of forms, insurance, due diligence and handling of crew and cast contracts.  I learnt a great deal of new strategies and protocols that I am constantly benefiting from since the course.  This was, in the main, due to lead course tutor Paul Sarony’s excellent guidance and the sharing of experience amongst the student group.  Since the course I have worked on a number of large studio productions and produced my own short film”.

Tony Hood, Location Manager, London Has Fallen (2nd Unit), Supervising Location Manager Peter Pan (TV Movie), UK Location Manager, War Machine

"I decided to do the Production Guild Production Manager Course after production managing two films with 10 years or so of location management behind me. The course was fantastic.  I came away with my confidence and competence in all aspects of production management increased; budgeting post-production was no longer a blind spot and negotiating the deal with a militant focus-puller was no longer a worry. Since the course, I have production managed, UPM-ed, Line Produced and Co-Produced on films ranging from £300k to £200m."

Benjamin Greenacre, Production Manager, Jack the Giant Slayer, The Fold , Line Producer and The Gunman, Unit Production Manager.
